Snowpocalypse/Snowmageddon
Snowfall on the East coast is not national news…ahem (cough cough) I’m talking to you HLN. It’s called winter. The shit falls like everyday here in the midwest, yet despite record breaking ice/snow/flooding/nuclear attacks, you fail to mention anything about Iowa and its surrounding buddies.
I don’t give a fat baby’s dick about YOUR snow. Our snow has the same consistency, and piles up just the same.
The only difference is, here in Iowa, we just deal with it; on the east coast you piss and moan on your national news sets, until you have a country feeling sorry for you.
Well I don’t. I hope you get another 20 inches.
I hope your plows get plowed in too, just like my neighbor’s car—because he’s an asshole—just like you, east coast!Provided that D.C.’s average snowfall is 17 inches and so far this year we’ve gotten 54.9 (with more snow heading our way this weekend and Monday), I have to disagree with your statement. Having grown up in Michigan, I agree with you that the Midwest is capable of dealing with snowfall in a way that D.C. isn’t - but that is because, having grown up in Michigan, I know that the the states provide a budget for snow removal that far surpasses that which D.C. (and the metro region) provides for.
Also, this tells me that Iowa normally receives 32 inches of snow per year (sometimes reaching 40 in Northern regions). So, given that, we’ve already beaten your normal amount with less resources to remove it.
Yeah, I know it’s annoying to hear about. But you know what’s even more annoying? Being stuck inside your apartment for three days and listening to people call us wusses.
I LOVE JODI. YOU TELL IT SISTA. POWER TO DC.
